Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian actress and television presenter. She's best known as the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. Alexandra Maria Lara was the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. When she was 16 she portrayed the lead role in several TV dramas. In the Oscar nominated film Downfall, her role as Secretary Traudljunge, Adolf Hitler's secretary was also a critically-acclaimed one. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominated films that feature female stars. Alexandra's career has seen her work on a number of significant national and international productions. Some of these include the British biographical movie Control, the Greek film The Dust of Time, and French historic miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she was part of both jury for the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
